Wash Your Magic Stone
Installation; glass sheets, concrete blocks, white light from a projector
2020
The installation consists of 11 pieces of glass found on the street, placed against the wall or based on concrete blocks. White light shines on the objects making the inscriptions and drawings engraved on the glass cast a shadow and become more visible.
The work was created as a result of spending long hours looking out the window during lockdown. The glass which is usually the invisible element of the image suddenly became a noticeable barrier between the inside and the outside. It has become a surface on which any imaginary image could be created. The drawings scraped out of boredom at first, after some time formed a chaotic poem.
