About

Agata Lech — multidisciplinary artist, musician; works with video, sound, painting, drawing, text and installation; graduate of the Faculty of New Media and Animation, majoring in new media at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. Her works have been presented at individual and collective exhibitions, music published and performed at various events. In 2022 she received an Artistic Prize from the President of the city Szczecin. She lives and works in Szczecin.

Agata is interested in the melancholia of the mind, often contemplating memories, nostalgic thoughts, her imagination and dreams. The basis of many of her projects is making up stories about objects or places which lead her works onto a fictional surface. In her practice she often brings up very intimate subjects, allowing their personal aspect to resonate with the viewers as a universal experience. She is interested in the fleeting feelings and sensations that small gestures of art can convey.
